The Bellissimo Story
Hi everyone, my name is Sherifer and baking has always been a huge part of my life. I've always loved creating delicious food, from homemade treats in my kitchen to running food trailers at markets across London and Essex, all while juggling a 'normal job' alongside it.
​
Then just before my 50th birthday, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and turn my passion for baking into my full time career.
​
In June 2019, Bellissiomo Bakes opened its doors on Benfleet High Road. What started as a dream quickly became a much-loved local business, with my daughters working alongside me and my granddaughter Dolcé giving the shop its beautiful name.
​
Over the years we've built wonderful relationships with our wonderful customers and are incredibly grateful to those that have continued to support us. In 2025 we made another big decision to close our shop and brought Bellissimo home. Building our very own bakery where we can continue doing what we love, just with a little more freedom to dream bigger.
